What is confirmed
The name is on the achievement list added in update 1.02, and it is painted on the task panel in the official surface screenshot, next to the line about five magic mushrooms. So the ending is a goal from the first minute of an Exploration save, not a secret menu. Survival mode’s patch note removes end goals, so this achievement is not available there.
A long play video reaches a moment where the speaker says they are ready for the great migration and then that they can release spores. That is one run, and the same video never reaches the million-centimetre growth achievements. I will not treat that video as a 100 percent clear.

Discussion posts do not agree. One says the ending animation plays after the corner task chain is done. Another ties it to planting or firing a large number of spore mushrooms, and the figure “100” shows up as a guess. A third talks about releasing spores once the network is ready.
